Merrill Vernon Tryon, 91, formerly of Philadelphia, died Monday at Genesis HealthCare, Watertown, where he had resided since June 1998.
Mr. Tryon was a retired farmer.
He was a member for more than 50 years of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, where he was a church trustee and head usher for many years. He also was a longtime member of the former Philadelphia lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
