Karl Grant Page, 89, of Idaho Falls, died October 13, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1914, in West Point, Utah, to Willard and Lillian Page and graduated from Davis High School. He then attended Weber State College, where he fought in the Golden Glove Boxing program and was State Champion in middleweight division. Subsequently, he went on the road as a clothing salesman. During World War II he served as a weatherman for the Army Air Corps in China. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Leona Margaretta Crockett July 30, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, and their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. After World War II Karl and his brother, Lowell, opened the Outdoorsman Sporting Goods Store in Idaho Falls, which he operated until 1982. In the early 1950's he and Lowell, along with other skiing enthusiasts, helped to start the areas first ski school at Pine Basin. After 1982, Karl began his second career selling real estate in southeast Idaho. He was always excited to help families find a new home and he retired from Voigt-Davis Realtors in 1992. An avid sportsman, Karl most loved a fly rod in hand on the South Fork or the Madison River. He shared that passion with his family, enjoying many fine trips together on these rivers. He served the City of Idaho Falls as a Councilman in the 1960's, was President of the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Idaho Falls Rotary Club, serving as their President in the 1970's. Karl was a dedicated gardener and possessed a special touch with roses. he planted and shared his unique magic with his sons and grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, many brothers and sisters, and his beloved wife of 59 years, who passed away March 14, 2002. Funeral services were held Friday, October 17, 2003, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 N Ridge Ave., with Jon A. Wood officiating.
