Lloyd H. Ackerman, age 82, of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 20, 2006 at his home. He was born December 4, 1923 in Lancaster, WI, the son of Edward and Barbara (Krauss) Ackerman. He attended Monroe High School and married Lois Pick on December 10, 1944 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe.
Lloyd and Lois farmed on the Ackerman home farm in Jefferson Township for over 60 years. Lloyd was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. His passion was farming, but he was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. Lloyd took several hunting trips to places such as British Columbia and Montana.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Ackerman of Monroe; a brother, Lowell Ackerman of Rice Lake, WI; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Velma Folts, Violet Schult, Viola Schadewaldt, and Alvina Wood; and three brothers, Edward, Harold, and Melvin Ackerman.
A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday at the Newcomer Funeral home, Monroe. Erica Adams, Intern Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, Monroe, will officiate.
