Mrs. Philip (Martha) Kohl, 91, formerly of route 1, Marshfield, died at 1 p.m. Thursday at a Milwaukee nursing home where she had resided the past several months.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church at Nasonville with the Rev. Evan Dieck officiating. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hansen Funeral Home here from Saturday noon until Sunday noon, and then at the church.
The former Martha Behling was born Nov. 30, 1876, in the town of Lynn, Clark County, and received her education there. Her marriage to Philip Kohl, who preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1959, took place Sept. 28, 1896, in the town of Lynn.
After their marriage, the couple lived and farmed in the town of Rock. The Kohls celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1948.
Mrs. Kohl was a member of the Women of the Church and a charter member of the Missionary Society of Grace Lutheran Church at Nasonville.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Luedtke, Mrs. Ed (Adeline) Mesheski, Mrs. Frank (Luella) Strigenz, Milwaukee; Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Baumgartner, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Walter (Rosella) Dohm, Chelsea; and Mrs. Oliver (Stella) Thomas, Wauwatosa; a son, Philip Kohl Jr., route 1, Marshfield; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a half-brother, William Behling, rural Chili.
She was preceded in death by a sister, and two half-sisters.
