Memorial services for Philip F. W. Kohl, 84, who died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday at the Marshfield Living Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church.
The Revs. Gary Hedding and Rick Biedermann will officiate. William Allen will be the soloist, and Maldon Plank will be the organist Burial will be in Nasonville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and relatives following the service.

He was born Jan. 20, 1908, in the town of Rock, to Philip F. and Martha (Behling) Kohl. He attended Hillcrest School in the town of Rock. He married Marcella Johnson Nov. 3, 1931, at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Fremont, Clark County.
He moved to Milwaukee at the age of 17 and worked for Hummel & Downing & Badger Bumper Co. He worked there for five years before he returned to the town of Rock. He then worked as a gravel truck driver for Wood County. He later worked for Mobil Oil Co. in Marshfield from 1932-38. Beginning in 1938, he and his wife operated a general store and service station in Halder and later in Chili and Nasonville. Then he and his cousin, Alfred Kohl, invented and patented the Badger Bottle Boy. He worked throughout the United States as an installer and repairman for this invention for 17 years. He then worked in maintenance at Westview Country Club before retirement in 1970. He had been a resident of the Living Center since March 1987.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, where he served on the church board for several years. He was also a former member of the Chili Lions Club and the Eagles Club in Marshfield.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Phyllis) Weichelt and Mrs. Elmer (Janice) Grobe, both of Pittsville; one son, Russell of Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Macheski and Mrs. Frank (Luella) Strigenz, both of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Baumgartner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, one infant son, Donald, and three sisters.
