MRS. HANS P. CLAUSEN DIES AT HOME HERE
Mrs. Hans P. Clausen, 68, died suddenly at her home, 434 West Sixth Street, about 5:30 Saturday evening. A heart attack was given as the cause of death.
Born in Lolland, Denmark, March 7, 1869, Mrs. Clausen came to Saunders county with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Carl Lindhartsen in 1882.
The next year the family moved to Colfax county and she was married to Hans P. Clausen November 9, 1895, in Colfax County. The couple lived on a farm eight miles south of Howells until they retired in 1923 and moved to Fremont, Nebraska.
Mr. Clause preceded her in death March 1, 1925.
Mrs. Clausen was a member of the First Lutheran church and was active in the English Ladies Aid of the church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edna Hansen, Ord; three sons, Carl and Ole Clausen, Howells and Hans Clause, Fremont; two brothers, Christ and Axel Lindhartsen, Erickson and 12 grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Drafahl Funeral Home and will remain there until 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, when it will be taken to the home. Services will be held at the residence at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, and at the First Lutheran church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. F. G. Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in Ridge cemetery.
