H.P. CLAUSEN IS CALLED BY DEATH
ILL WITH PNEUMONIA ONLY A FEW DAYS

H. P. Clausen, 56, for many years a Colfax resident and for the past two years a resident of Fremont, Nebraska, died at his home 434 West Sixth Street, yesterday afternoon at 3:30, death resulting from a brief illness of pneumonia. Mr. Clausen had been in good health until last Friday when he was suddenly stricken with the fatal illness.
He was born in Denmark No.v. 3, 1868 and when a young man came to the United States with his parents. they 1st settled near Howells, where they lived for a number of years. Mr. Clausen was united in marriage to Miss Marie Lindhartsen. They continued their residence in Colfax county for many years, moving 2 years ago to Fremont, where they have lived since.
Surviving are the wife and four children: Ole of Leigh, Carl and Hans, living in the home place at Howells, Nebraska and Mrs. Edna Hansen of Ord, one brother, Andrew Clausen of Ames, also survives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Danish Lutheran church, Rev. James C. Peterson officiating. Interment will be made in Ridge cemetery.
