CONRAD, Stanley
age 85 of Fairfield, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 14, 1926, the son of Louis and Anna (Staarman) Conrad, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. On February 19, 1949, in St. Ann Church, he married Bernice Combs, and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2007. Mr. Conrad was a self employed farmer having worked at the Conrad family farm with his brother, Arnold, his entire life until retirement in 1988. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Besides his wife, Bernice, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Arnold; two sisters, Evelyn Miller and Alberta Groh.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati for the excellent care they provided.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Friday in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Sacred Heart Church.
