Petree, 81, dies at Potosi. Funeral for Pioneer of County will be held at 4 p.m. today. J. H. Petree, resident of Taylor County and the Potosi Community since 1897, died at 7 p.m. yesterday at his home in Potosi. He had been ill for three weeks. Funeral rites will be held at 3 p.m. today from the Potosi Baptist Church with the Rev. Dick Bright officiating. Burial will be in the Potosi Cemetery. Mr. Petree was born in GA, moving from there to TX 34 years ago. Six sons and eight daughters survive. They are, Andrew Petree, Gus Petree, Ed Petree, Harry Petree, Cap Petree and Sid Petree, Mrs. J. R. Nichols, Mrs. R.S. Anderson, Mrs. M. C. Byrd, Mrs. D. A. Walden, Dona Kuykendall, Mrs. Stella Glover, Mrs. Aubrey Harrison Tahoka and Mrs. Elmer Smith.
