Royalty, Queen of Navarra, Duchess d'Albret, Countess of Foix, Limoges, Armagnac etc. Only surviving child and therefore heiress of Enrique II of Navarre and Marguerite d'Angoulême. She married Wilhelm V of Jülich-Kleve-Berg in 1541. Due to her age the marriage was never consumed and was annulled in 1546. After her mothers and uncles insistence she married Antoine de Bourbon two years later. Her fight against Catholics in her kingdom resulted in tension with the French court. Due to his rank as first prince of blood her eldest son was supposed to be raised at the court in Paris. She successfully opposed the demands of Katherine de Medici for some years, though he was in the end raised with the royal children.
