Richard (Dick) Allen Anderson age 65 of Marion, KY died March 9 at Crittenden Health Systems.
Mr. Anderson was a retired coal and fluorspar miner, a Marine who served in the Vietnam War along with being a recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Higgins Anderson, Marion, KY; three sons, Kevin Anderson, Verona, VA; Jeffrey Scott Anderson, Newburgh, IN and Christopher Anderson, Hudson, FL; two brothers, Fred Anderson, Batavia, IL and Donnie Anderson, Rosiclare, IL; one sister, Judy Blakely, Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Nancy Morrow Anderson and stepson, John Scott Hardin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13 at 1 P.M. at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rosebud Cemetery.
