NAMPA — Services for Mrs. Amy Perkins, 68, of 339 Westwood Boulevard, Nampa, who died Thursday at her home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the College Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Hal Perkins of the Mount Laurel, N.J., Church of the Nazarene, the Rev. Alvin McQuay of the Nazarene Church and the Rev. Clarence J. Kinzter of the College Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
She was born May 12, 1907, in Davenport, Neb. She attended schools in Valentine, Neb. She graduated from West Nebraska Methodist Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in 1929. She was a registered nurse in Nebraska and was head instructor at the West Nebraska School of Nursing. She married Okley A. Perkins July 4, 1929, in Kilgore, Neb. She moved to Butte, Mont., in 1934. She moved to Nampa in 1974.
She was a member of the Church oh Nazarene and was elected president of the missionary society and treasurer of the church in Butte, the Women's Christian Temporance Union, Butte, and has served as president.
Surviving are her husband of Nampa; a son, the Rev. Hal Perkins of Mount Laurel, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Harland R.(Marilyn) Lutz of Wilmore, Ky., and Mrs, George W. (Sharon) Dillon of Nampa; three brothers, Arthur L. Chaffin of Portland, Leonard Chaffin of Norfolk, Neb., and Donald K. Chaffin Parkdale, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Ione Reeves of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Delmar McNutt of Seattle; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Alsip Funeral Chapel and from 1 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the College Church of the Nazarene.
