Estelle Conaway, 95, passed away Thursday, March 8,2012 in Colorado City. Funeral services for Estelle will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at 22nd and Austin Church of Christ. Roy Hardesty will be officiating services. Family visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Estelle was born January 8, 1917 in Floyd County, Texas ,to parents John Milton and Mary Alice Rogers. She married John E "Jake" Conaway on May 25, 1934 in Mitchell County. Estelle has been in Colorado City area since 1918. Estelle is a member of 22nd and Austin Church of Christ. She loved going to church. Estelle loved her family very much and was a wonderful mother. She was married to Jake many wonderful years until his passing on October 1, 1988.
Survivors are daughters, Rita Joyce Hardegree and husband Jimmy of Colorado City, Merrie Beth Jackson and husband Preston of Colorado City, Barbara Conaway of Conroe, Texas; son-in-law, Bobby McGann of Levelland, Texas; 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by Husband, Jake Conaway; son Kenneth Alvin Conaway; and daughter, Nelda Gail McGann.
Pallbearers will be Brent Hardegree, Greg Hardegree, Blake Hardegree, Brian McGann, Brad McGann, Brandon McGann. Honorary Pallbearers will be: B. J. Honesto and Kevin Williams.
All arrangements are under the care and directon of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
