A resident of Baton Rouge for 69 years, he died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at The Guest House. He was 91 and a native of Hardin County, Ky. He was retired from Ethyl Corp. with 30 years of service.
Visiting at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 9:30 a.m. Monday until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and Gerald Didier, Baton Rouge, and Bonnie and Ned Peet, Kingwood, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Judy Chenault, St. Francisville; 10 grandchildren, Gerald Didier Jr., Dianne Didier Dawson, Connie Didier Caballero, Kathleen Peet Hummelburg, Melindaer, Stanley Chenault, Hardin County. Preceded in death by wife, Beatrice Carpenter Chenault; a grandson, Duane Didier; two sisters and a brother. Pallbearers will be Troy Chenault, Gerry Didier, Michael Peet, Christopher Peet, Patrick Holley and Jim Speaks. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 5530. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., in charge of arrangements.
