Rena Agnes Skees, 96, of White Mills, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Mary Etta Buckles Chenault; three brothers, Stanley, Chester and Luther Chenault; and four sisters, Louise Brooks, Nellie Skees, Sister Clarence Mary and Rose Etta Skees. Survivors include two sons, Stoy Mitchell Skees of White Mills and Clarence Skees of Cecilia; six daughters, Mary Anna Goodman and Violet Stith, both of White Mills, Martha Mullins of Elizabethtown, Geneva Hatfield of Mitchell, Va., Christine Higg of Millwood and Agnes Horton of Vine Grove; 38 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in White Mills with the Rev. William Fichteman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and continues from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at 9 a.m. Friday at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and a Rosary Service at 10 a.m. Friday.
