Mr. Edgar Willard Mitchell, 80, of Many, died at Sabine Medical Center in Many on Jan. 27, 1988.
Services were held at Trinity Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Jan. 29, 1988 with Rev. Milton Pray and Rev. H. H. Tibbits officiating. Burial was at Ft. Jesup Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Pinkey Mitchell of Many; two daughters, Louise Martin of Natchitoches and Glenda Wooten of Ft. Worth, Tx.; five sons, Charles E. Mitchell of Euless, Tx., Bruce Mitchell of Leesville, Keith Mitchell of Jonesboro, Kerry Mitchell of Many and Daryll Kent Mitchell of Pineville; two sisters, Delia Hanson of Bossier City and Edna Anderson of Shreveport; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six step grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Wingate Dowden, Johnny Miller, Kevin Taylor, Huey Dowden, Danny Townsend and Jimmy Durr.
