WILLIAM FRANKLIN CARPENTER
---William Franklin Carpenter, son of Hugh F. and Ruey R. Carpenter, was born near La Plata, Missouri, December 6, 1874 and died at Prairie Home, Cooper County, Missouri, April 13, 1932.
---He was married to Miss Dora Short twenty-one years ago. To this union six children were born, two of whom preceded their father in death, Clyde, who died at the age of seventeen and Luther, who died in infancy.
---Those left to mourn his death are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Louise Renszer of Gray Summit, Missouri; those at home are Ruth Genevieve and Earl. One grandson, Walter Lee Renszer. There are also five sisters and two brothers to mourn their loss, namely, Mrs. O.B. McKenzie, Misses Ada, Mamie and Frances Carpenter, all of Kirksville and Mrs. W.W. Self of La Plata, James C. Carpenter of Shafer, Minnesota and Emory E. of Detroit, Michigan, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church, conducted by his pastor. Interment in a nearby cemetery.
