RUSSELL - Theodore Laubhan, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, in the Russell Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 3, 1913, in Russell to Gottfred and Eva Elizabeth (Ehrlich) Laubhan. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Emma Stricker on Nov. 24, 1946, in Ellsworth. He was a lifetime member of the Russell community. He was employed by the City of Russell electrical plant and was superintendent at the time of his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, VFW and American Legion, both of Russell.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Frank, Pratt; three sisters, Rosie Ruhl, Fallbrook, Calif., Esther White and Frances Wagner, both of Russell; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Riney, Reuben and Robert Laubhan, and an infant sister, Freda Laubhan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, with the Rev. Henry Hartman officiating; burial in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or the American Cancer Society.
