Lieut. Abel was the son of my ancestors, JOHN & PHEBE (WILCOXSON) BIRDSEYE & grandson of DEACON JOHN & PHILIPA (SMITH) BIRDSEYE & WILLIAM & MARGARET (BIRDSEYE) WILCOXSON.
On June 8, 1704 he married Comfort Wells. After she died, he married second Mercy Denton of Hempsted, L. I., Feb. 25, 1717/18.
