Moses married Rhoda Griffis, daughter of Juniper Griffis & Lavina Sears, born in 1837. Moses enlisted in Company G on 4 March 1862. He was wounded at Crampton's Gap, MD 14 September 1862. Moses was furloughed home for 30 days on 3 October 1862. Moses later died from wounds sustained at the battle of Boonesboro, MD on 17 September 1862, he was 32.
