Lena Tollett, 81, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 17, 2003. Funeral services were held Feb. 19 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial and graveside services held Feb. 20 in Big Lick Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Smathers officiated, with Wanda Moore providing special music.
Mrs. Tollett was born March 28, 1921 in Bledsoe County, TN, the daughter of Waymon and Eliza Swafford Henry.
She was a homemaker and attended Big Lick Presbyterian Church. She dearly loved to quilt and crochet.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Tollett of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lillie and Jim Akins of Crossville, Sandra and Jim Cannon of Crossville, Mary Jean and Darrell Jones of Crossville and Burdeen and Steve Morgan of Naples, FL; sister, Thelma Ambrose of Akron, OH; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Eliza Henry.
Pallbearers were Tom Akins, Donald Akins, Ricky Dick, Bill Cannon, Brian Morgan, Scott Morgan, Kurt Scarbrough, Rodney White, Ted Swafford and Edd Gadd.
Hood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
