Johnny H. Tollett Aug. 24, 1918 — Aug. 5, 2010
Johnny Harrison Tollett, 91, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 5, 2010. Funeral services were held Aug. 8 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Bro. Ronnie Garrett officiating. Burial was in Big Lick Cemetery.
Mr. Tollett was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Cumberland County, the son of John Harrison and Gracie Bell Hale Tollett.
He was retired after 35 years from Trade-A-Plane as a press operator and attended Big Lick Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to garden.
Survivors include his daughters, Lillie Akins and husband Jim, Sandra Cannon and husband Jim, Mary Jean Jones and husband Darrell, all of Crossville, and Burdeen Morgan and husband Steve of Lady Lake, FL; sisters, Cora Kerley and Lela Hassler of Crossville; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Tollett; and brother, Virgil Tollett.
Pallbearers were Curt Scarbrough, Rodney White, Matt Garrett, Larry Kerley, Jerry Kerley, Edmond Gadd and Brian Morgan.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
