She was the daughter of Herman Thader Manzeck (1889 - 1942) and Cecilia J. Comp (1893 - 1949) and the sister of Hazel Margaret Germanson (1912 - 1979), Mildred Schiller (1917 - 1976), Dorothy Hoffman (1914 - 1999), Joyce Lorraine Suelflow (1926 - 2011), Patricia Helen Manz (1935), and Herman Paul Manzeck (1922 - 1953).
