Clarence Elledge, a bridge carpenter for the E.P.S.W. died in Tucumcari last Friday morning, as a result of an accident that occurred the day before. Elledge was digging at the bottom of a forty-five foot well at Campana on the Dawson Line when a heavy timber at the curbing became loosened and fell striking him at the base of the skull. He was rushed to the Tucumcari Hospital where the surgeons found the whole base of the skull crushed. The man died twenty-four hours later.
