Gary was born Dec. 23, 1928, in Seminole Oklahoma to E.E. and Altha Mabel Stiles. He married Clydell Norman on Feb. 6, 1948, in Seminole, Okla. He worked for Cities Service Oil Co., which was later acquired by Oxy U.S.A., and retired after 40 years of service. Mr. Stiles served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for 40 years serving in all chairs and posts. He was the exhalted ruler of Russell, Kan., Lodge #1715.
