Edna (Campbell) Quenett emigrated to Canada as a nine year old child in 1912, with her mother and siblings, after losing her father in 1910 in Michigan. After homesteading in the Midnight Lake area, her mother also died in Saskatchewan in 1917, leaving her three children orphaned. Edna married Francis R. “Slim” Quenett in late 1923. The couple and their three children lived all around the Long Lake area. Slim went off to war in 1939 and Edna continue to raise the children. In 1942 after the birth of a fourth child, the family moved into Saskatoon. Slim never returned after the war and died in 1951. Edna lived in Saskatoon until her death in 1971. She worked at Pinder‘s Drug Store and the University Hospital. She was well loved by her children and grandchildren.
