Funeral services for Rev. Leon Head, Sr., 90 of West Monroe will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Robert McGaha will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Rev. Head was born November 26, 1921 in Chatham, LA and passed away March 1, 2012 in Monroe. He was a minister of the United Pentecostal Church for over 60 years. Rev. Head was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Beard Head.
He is survived by his children; Carolyn Grube and husband Stanley, Sheila Townsend and husband James, Ruth Ann Nelson and husband Edward, and Leon Head Jr. and wife Linda; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Casey Head, Todd Ballance, Lynell Auttonberry, Jeffrey Townsend, Paul Grube, and Chase Minter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Shannon, Tommy Fuller, Dewey Fondren and Johnny Brady.
