Edward McSherry Sr. died at the home of T.O. Collins in Two Taverns, on Feb. 10. from the infirmites of age being 89 yrs. 4 mo. 10 days. Funeral Tuesday, interment at Bonneaville, bearers being R. A. Little, Chas. Snyder, Geo. A. Sourbeer and Adam Smith.

The deceased leaves four sons and two daughters. Andrew, of near Gettysburg. Peter and Frank of McSherrytown and Edward Jr. of Two Taverns. Mrs. Josephine Overbaugh and Matilda wife of T.O. Collins, also one brother John F. McSherry of Littlestown and one sister Mrs. Lizzie Eckenrode of Union Township.

Deceased was of a kind and generous disposition being loved and respected by all who knew him, a devout catholic and a staunch democrat having been a reader of the Compiler for many years and having on file quite a number of years publication of that journal.

He was a son of Patrick McSherry who fought in the second war of independence.
