CASIAS -- LENA Loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on May 28, 2011. Born on March 12, 1916 in Cimarron, New Mexico, Lena was a long-time resident of Martineztown, New Mexico. She enjoyed 52 years of marriage with her husband, Ted, and lived her life surrounded by her family and friends.
A member of La Amistad Senior Center and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted Casias; her daughter, Virginia Velasquez; her son, Rudy Casias; her mother, Tillie "Little Grandma" Casias; her father, Fred Casias; her brothers, Manuel Casias and Fred Casias; and her granddaughter, Rosann Hunick and husband, Henry Justo Hunick.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Casias, Albert Casias, John Casias and wife, Terri; her daughter, Dolores "Dolly" Casias; her sisters, Geri Gurule and Laura Pacheco; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends and extended family members who she loved very much.
Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
