Eula Mae Cates FLOYDADA –
Eula Mae Cates, 85, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997.Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-RoseWhite Funeral Home.Mrs. Cates was born in Milam County.
She married W.B. Cates in 1934 at Crosbyton.She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, the Whirlwind Sams Travel Club and the Floydada Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Cates was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Wayne Cates in 1941 and Clinton Dale Cates in 1942.
Survivors include her husband; a son, David Cates of Lubbock; a daughter, Nelda Maurer of Darrouzett; two brothers, J.W. Gilbreath and Bill Gilbreath, both of Floydada; a sister, Ray Day of Floydada; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to the organ fund at First Baptist Church, 401 S. Main, Floydada, Texas 79235
