GILBREATH, Richard of Thorndale. Age 80. Died 2/25/1990 (Sunday) in Sweetbriar Nursing Home, Taylor, after being in failing health since 11/1989. Services held 2/27 (Tuesday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Rockdale. Rev. Reuel Cooper of Lexington First Baptist Church officiated. Phillips & Luckey of Rockdale in charge of arrangements.

He was BORN 11/21/1909 in Sandy Creek, to M/M. W.A.W. and Dora (Greathouse) Gilbreath. He resided in Thorndale since 1950. Farmer and heavy equipment operator for Milam Co. until his retirement in 1972. Married Ida Mae Fredrick on 5/7/1931. She preceded him in death on 10/21/1976. Married second time, to Evelyn Luckey on 8/17/1988. Member of Thorndale First Baptist Church and active worker in the Thorndale Senior Citizen. Preceded in death by parents.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Evelyn Gilbreath of Thorndale; 4 sons, Richard D. Gilbreath, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Dan of Fairfield, Jack of Bastrop and Larry of Jonestown; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Stauffer of Pasadena and Patsy Gilbreath of Houston; 2 brothers, J.W. Gilbreath and Billy Gilbreath, both of Floydada; 2 sisters, Eula Mae Cotes and Ray Day, both of Floydada; 14 grand-children; 12 great-grandchildren.
