Charles Arthur Burgener, 67, of National City, California, died Thursday, July 7, 1960 of a heart attack.

He was born February 10, 1893 to Christian and Amelia Burgener at Midway. He married Martha Fisher of Heber on December 21, 1916, The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a retired Civil Service employe, and moved to California in 1951.

Survivors: Widow; one son, Max, Salt Lake; Mrs. Glen (Lois) Lewis, Layton; Mrs. Dale(Ethel Jean) Orgill with the Navy in Cuba; one brother, Maynard of Roy; one sister Mrs. Merrill )Merl) Bodkin, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Funeral Rites were held in National City, with graveside services at Heber City Cemetery on July 16, at 12 noon.

Retire employee of Navy Ships Stores Department. Active member LDS Church. Moved to California in 1951.

Surviving are his widow; son, daughters, D. Max, Salt Lake City, Mrs Glen (Lois) Lewis, Layton, Mrs. Dale (Ethel Jean) Orgill, with Navy in Cuba; six grandchildren; brother, sister, Maynard, Roy; Mrs. Meril Bodkin, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Funeral was held in National City, Graveside services in Heber City Cemetery.

Charles A. Burgener was a miner at the Daly Judge mine in Park City, where he made his home for many years and had a large circle of friends in our city.
