This conflicts with the Social Security Death Index record for her which says that she was born May 5, 1889 and died April 1977. The 1889 year of birth is also confirmed by all of her census records - 1900 through 1940. The last known address for her was in Dumas, Desha Co., Arkansas.

Ada was first married to Calvin Howell in 1907. After his death in 1934, she married a man whose last name was Erwin.

Ada was the daughter of James Lafayette "Jim" Garner and his 1st wife, Sarah Chapman.
