Death of Mr. J. A. Ramey.
This estimable citizen of Abbeville County, died at his residence on Saturday last after a long and painful illness. Mr. Ramey has long been identified with many of the interests of Abbeville, and his demise will be regretted by many. He was at one time the supertendent of the Lettle farm, and for the past four or five years has had charge of the Poor House. He discharged all of his trusts with fidelity and with carnestness. His remains were interred at Sharon on Sunday last, in the presence of a number of his friends and relatives.
