Mrs. Robert Scott

Sherbrooke, May 13th---
There passed away at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish, on May 11th,1948 Mrs. Robert Scott. She was Caroline McDaniel, daughter of the late Alfred McDaniel and Sarah Laing. Born at Sherbrooke 65 years ago, she had lived here all her life, except for a few years in early life which she spent in Halifax. Mrs. Scott was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed in this community. St. Mary's Rebekah Lodge has lost a faithful sister in the passing of Mrs. Scott. She was also a faithful worker in the Women's Institute, the United Church Ladies Aid and the Women's Missionary Society. Surviving are her husband, four daughters, three sons, one brother and two sisters. The daughters are; Elva ( Mrs. J. O'Neil), Sherbrooke; Myrtle ( Mrs. Charles Bews), Toronto; Irene ( Mrs. J. Fillian), Halifax; and Hilda ( Mrs. R. Turner), Cole Harbor. The sons; Harold, R.C.M.P. Digby; Fred, Sherbrooke, Maurice, Liscomb Mills. The brother, Herbert McDaniel, Sherbrooke; the sisters; Mrs. Judge, Halifax and Mrs. O. Nelson, Brookfield. Fifteen grandchildren also survive. Three sisters and one brother predeceased her. The funeral will take place frome home on Friday at 2:30 pm, conducted by Rev. A.W. Robertson. Internment in the Riverside Cemetery.
