Mr Jesse Allen Alger. 77. of 3214 Gapland Road, Gapland, died Sunday. Aug. 30. at Avalon Manor Nursing Center, Hagerstown.
He was the husband of Regina E. Bealer Alger. whom he married Nov. 26.1960. Born May 26. 1921, in Ranson. W.Va.. he was a son of the late Hubert and Lora Burner Alger.

He had retired in 1963 after 23 years service with the General Service Adminstration Washington. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army

He was a member of Charles Town Baptist Church, and attended Burkittssville Lutheran Church. He was a member of Clopper-Michael Post 10 American Legion in VFW in Hagerstown: and the AARP He was also an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter. Rebecca Briggs of Ransori: one son. Jesse A. Alger Jr. of Charles Town, W.Va.; two sisters. Yvonne Drewry of Green Valley. Ariz., and Anice Darroch of Martifisburg. W.Va.; one brother. Leslie Alger of Charles Town; five grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
Services will begin at 2 p.m the funeral home. The Rev. George M Harpel will officiate.
interment will be in Brownville Heights Cemetery
