Born in Salinas, Calif. to Cecil and Blanche Graves, Fred Graves passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2012. Dad served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Ruby Biscoe in San Francisco in 1946. He worked for 41 years for National Cash Register Company in California, Ohio and Oregon as a service technician. Dad could fix anything.

He was predeceased by his wife and younger brother, Theodore; and is survived by his son, Edward (Patricia) Graves; daughter, Janet (Stuart) Jones; two grandchildren, Jonathan (Mi) Graves and Nicole Graves Stephan; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Stephan and Alexander Graves.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4 at 3 p.m. at Multnomah Presbyterian Church, 7555 SW 45th Ave., Portland, OR. He will be interred with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery. Fred was a generous giver. In his memory, please consider doing an unexpected kindness for someone.
