Married on 17 Apr 1872, in Maxberg, to Johann [John] Gerl, son of Michael Gerl & Katharina Penl of nearby Wassersuppen (Nemanice). Immigrated before 1892, and settled in Menominee, MI. Eight known children (at least two died young, in the US). Widowed 1898. Lived for a time in Chicago, IL. Returned to Menominee. Died at home of daughter Barbara (Gerl) Eckert, of 833 Dunlap Ave. Buried same plot as son John (d. 1914).
