Mrs. Owens was born in Battlefield, the daughter of Henry and Alta (Perkins) DeMonbrun. She married Clifford Owens in 1936. They operated Owens Motor service in Springfield prior to their retirement.
Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy Moore and husband Bob; granddaughter, Connie Harp; and six great-grandchildren, Aaron Harp, Amanda Fenley, Alesia Harp, Kyle Moore, Luke Moore and Alex Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; a grandson and his wife, Mark and Cindy Moore; one sister; and three brothers.
Mrs. Owens was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer at Cox Hospital for 39 years.
Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Springfield.
