Edgar Ackelson Services Set
Services for Edgar L. Ackelson, 59, of 1266 E. Thirty-fifth st., who died at home Saturday after a four month illness, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Chapel with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Ackelson, who lived in Des Moines the last 49 years, had been retired for four months as a bus serviceman for the Des Moines Transit Co. He was a member of Street Railway and Motorcoach Employees Union 441.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; two sons; a daughter; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Wilkinson, Mrs. Clarkie Cleghorn and Virdie Ackelson, all of Des Moines; three brothers, John and Leo of Des Moines, and George of Glenn Fork, W. Va.; and a grandchild.
