bio, "...Rudolph Schloesser, built one of the first pretentious office buildings in Chicago after the great conflagration in 1871. The building was known as the Schloesser Block. Schloesser was a successful banker and real estate operator in Chicago for many years. He was one of the most prominent pioneers of Chicago, an associate of Potter Palmer, Marshall Field and Pullman."
