James Principata was the youngest of six children and the youngest son born to Emanuele Joseph Principata and his wife Marie Corona.
His first wife was Teresa Elizabeth Di Orio, whom he married on April 5, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. and they were blessed with two children. Dad moved his family to Los Angeles, California in the late 1940's. His three sisters, and their families, and one brother all left Illinois and moved to the west coast as well; the sister's to California and his brother to Oregon. Dad's other brother Louis (Luigi) remained in Illinois with his wife Delia L. Cole.
Teresa passed away in 1953 in Los Angeles, California and Dad was married again to Ann Alexandra Burbank on May 30, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon his marriage to Ann, Dad was blessed with two step-daughters. They also were blessed with the addition of another daughter during their marriage. Dad and Mom were divorced in 1968.
Dad worked as a sheet metal mechanic and was a long-time employee for WEMS/VAC Atmospheres, now known as WEMS, Inc., in Hawthorne, California. He was still working at the time of his death.
