Larry Wayne Adkison, 68, was born April 10, 1943 in Van Nuys, California. He took his rightful place beside the Lord on February 9, 2012 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda; mother, Virginia; and sisters, Vicki and Becky. Also survived by his children, Lonny, Lorri, Dwayne, and Kristi; 15 grandchildren; 3 and a half great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, James (1990) and brother, Ron (2001).
Larry attended Compton High School, Compton Jr. College, and married his wife before going on to play professional baseball for the Los Angeles Angels. He then had a very successful career as a finished carpenter and raised a beautiful family in Westminster, California.
Services are to be held at Fairhaven Mortuary in Mission Viejo, CA. on February 15, 2012 at 12:30 pm. Viewing will begin at 11:00 am on the same day. Graveside burial will be immediately following service at El Toro Memorial Park.
