Franklin Branch "Bo" Long, 79, husband of Martha Gatlin Long, died at home February 26, 2012.

Mr. Long was born December 30, 1932, in Columbia, the son of the late Fennel Branch Long and the late Emmie Eula Ralinson.

Mr. Long was a member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown. He was retired from the South Carolina Highway Department, Traffic and Planning Division, after serving 31 years. He was president of the Waccamaw Neck Association and was a past president of Litchfield Country Club. In 1989, he was the club champion. He won many other golf tournaments.

He was survived by his wife of Pawleys Island; a son, Franklin Branch Long Jr. of Lexington; a daughter, Terri Long (Steve) Price of Lighthouse Point, FL.; four grandchildren, Holly Long and Brittany Long, both of Lexington, and Ashton Price and Grant Price, both of Lighthouse Point, FL; and two sisters, Mary Long Amason and Betty Long Tiller, both of Hopkins.

The funeral was Friday, March 2, 2012, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Ted Sherrill officiated.

Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, was in Mill Creek Cemetery, Columbia, SC.
