Sandra Rogers Peters Linsen, 73, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, after an extended illness. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. She will be laid to rest with family members in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa.
Sandy, a native of Lock Haven, Pa., was born April 22, 1938, to George and Zella Rogers. She graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1956, married Ted Peters in June 1957 and graduated from Lock Haven University in 1962 cum laude with a B.S. in education. She and Ted relocated to Port St. Lucie, Fla., in 1969. In 1974, she married William "Bill" Linsen. Bill passed away in 1994. Sandy's love was Boston terriers and she was very active with the breed. She bred and led many to championships. She worked tirelessly to promote the health and quality of the breed and also worked with rescues. She was a life force and inspired many in the Boston terrier community, both in Texas and across the country. She relocated from Florida in 2000 to be closer to her son.
Survivors: Son, Todd W. Peters; and son-in-law, Glen Monson, both of Euless.

Cause of Death: Aspiration pneumonia/ respiratory failure. Please monitor your elderly family members for aspiration problems/risks, related to dysphagia. It is deadly and very common.
