DIES FROM INJURIES RECEIVED IN CRASH
Frederick Brace, Dundee, Brother of Corning Woman, Dead in Penn Yan
Frederick Brace, of Crystal Springs, near Dundee, a brother of Mrs. William A. Jones, of 307 East Market street, died at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital at Penn Yan this morning, November 7, 1927 at 7 o'clock. Death resulted from a fractured skull sustained Saturday morning about 10 o'clock when Mr. Brace's car was struck by a machine driven by Burt Clark, of Elmira. When the collision occurred Mr. Brace was driving east on the road which crosses the Wayne-Dundee state highway on the Vangorden farm near Dundee. As his car reached the junction of the two roads, it was struck by the Clark Machine which was traveling toward Wayne on the state highway. Both autos were hurled from the road down an embankment into a field and both were wrecked. Mr. Clark and his wife, who was with him in the car, escaped with minor bruises.
Practically all his life Mr. Brace lived in the vicinity of Dundee. He was born in Tyrone 28 years ago and moved to Dundee when a small boy. He followed the occupation of farmer and in his neighborhood was well known and had a wide circle of friends. About four years ago he was married to Miss Mary Matt, (sic) of Weston, who survives with three children, one daughter, Margaret, and two sons. Frederick, Jr., and Carleton, four months of age. He
also leaves his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Carley Brace, of Crystal Springs and two sisters, Mrs. William A. Jones, of Corning and Mrs. Charles Hathaway, of Dundee. The body has been removed to the Dewey Funeral Home at Dundee where the funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.The Rev. E. L. Kinner, pastor of the Wayne Methodist Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be In Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.
