Heat engineer, 75, Succumbs

Albert Edwin Hurd, 75, 1140 Lake st., Salt Lake heating engineer, died early Friday at his home. Cause of death was undermined but natural.

He was born in Salt Lake City Jan. 20, 1872, a son of William Baker and Frances Taylor Hurd; and resided in Salt Lake City his entire life. He owned and operated the A. E. Hurd Plumbing and Heating Co. for 50 years, years, operating the business from his home in recent years.

He attended Salt Lake public schools and St. Mark's private protestant school. He was a member of the Christian Science church. Mr. Hurd married Emily Clark in Salt Lake City, Oct. 17, 1897. She died in August, 1916.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence E. Hurd, Long Beach, Cal.; a daughter, Mrs. Frances H. May, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild and two brothers, David and Walter C. Hurd, both of Salt Lake City.
