Mr. Lorenzo F. Dow, of the firm of Fox & Dow, died yesterday [1 Sept] afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a long and lingering illness from cerebro-spinal meningitis. Mr. Dow was an exceeding genial and agreeable young man, and had a large circle of personal friends in this city. The funeral services in Hartford will be attended Wednesday at half past twelve at the the Pearl Street Church. The remains will be taken to South Coventry for interment on Wednesday morning. Mr. Dow was thirty-years of age and apparently a vigorous man.
