John has been a genealogy addict since about 1993 when he and his wife Kathleen helped find her Irish roots in County Roscommon, Ireland. Since then, he has reestablished ties with his Italian and Argentinian relatives, with a number of reciprocal visits. He has since consumed his spare time with tracing the ancestral backgronds of their children, step-children, and 12 grandchildren. He is a member of Ancestry, the Connecticut genealogical Society, the new England Historical and Genealogical Society, and the French-Canadian Genealogical Society of Connecticut. When he is not involved in genealogical pursuits, he is a land use planner.
