His paternal grandparents were Lafayette Alcorn and Alice (Love) Alcorn and his maternal grandparents were Maston "Matthew" Wiley Box and Margaret Elizabeth "Maggie" (Seats) Box
Uncle Billy married Barbara Kingen and they had 3 children:
1) Vicki (1952-2011) whose birth was announced in the 4-3-1952 edition of The Current Local, Van Buren, Carter Co., MO on pg. 2 (used with permission): "Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Alcorn are announcing the arrival of a baby daughter on March 31st. The young lady will answer to the name of Vicki Lynette."

They divorced and he married Pearl and was with her until his death at age 48 of Leukemia.
